Kids Stand Up Paddle Board Parties

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Kids Parties are a fun, healthy, active, outdoors way to keep kids entertained for a whole party.

Our instructors all have kids themselves. And they have designed a great kids party structure that includes a formal instruction, free paddling time and fun games on the stand up paddle boards to keep the kids active and entertained for the whole session.

As a parent, some of the best things are that adults can also have a turn (if the kids ever get off the boards!), the kids are having healthy, active fun and you don't need to worry about trying to entertain everyone. It's all done for you.

The Kids Parties are organised by Perth Stand Up Paddle School. Owner and Head Instructor Cameron McKay has the a Diploma of Education and also holds a Working with Children Check. He is the most highly qualifed Stand Up Paddle boarding Instructor in WA, holidng both an ISA Level 1 SUP Instructor and a Surfing Australia Level 2 Surf Coach accreditation.

We can work out a suitable location to suit the age group and skill level of the kids. A popular place that we like is at Freshwater Bay (Peppermint Grove), where there is:

• an attractive, grassy riverbank with excellent shade

• flat, waist high water for at least 50m out

• protection from most wind directions.

What to bring

Lucy, who has dyspraxia, is fully proficient at stand up paddle boarding. She's been doing it since she was about six years old and often paddles with mum and dad. We find it's a great sport for kids with dyspraxia, autism, ADHD and many other special needs. For children with severe special needs, it can even be fun just to sit on the board and be paddled around. Kids (and adults!) can also start by kneeling if they are unable to stand or worried about falling in.

Stand Up Surf Shop support WA Special Families (a Facebook group for families of kids with special needs). Our Head Instructor, Cameron McKay (pictured here) gave free lessons to special needs kids in January 2015. It was a very rewarding experience and the kids loved it. There are photos on the Perth Stand Up Paddle School Facebook page. It was also a welcome break for the parents and carers!

If you want to chat about whether stand up paddle boarding could be suitable for someone you know, contact Cameron on the email form below or call Cam or Mike during shop hours on 08 9335 5636.

How To Improve Your Paddle Technique

Improving Your Paddle Technique

Everyone has heard how great a ‘core’ workout Stand Up Paddling is. However, when we begin paddling, we have a tendency to just use our core for balancing, rather than power. A common mistake early on is to rely on our arm strength to pull the paddle through the water. But, our arms and shoulders tire easily so it's important to learn the right technique so you can stay out longer.

The paddle stroke can be broken down into three main components:

Catch

Power

Release

Breaking the stroke down into more manageable parts allows for greater focus on each area.

1. The Catch

This sets up the stroke so that you don’t have to fight through the rest of the stroke to correct yourself. Ideally, you want the blade of the paddle to enter the water as cleanly as possible. As opposed to slapping the blade into the water, you want to focus on applying energy once the paddle enters the water and not before.

2. Power

This is one of the most critical stages of the stroke and where you can generate the most power without using your arms & shoulders. Focusing on using your hips (and therefore recruiting the muscle strength of your glutes, thighs, core and lats), will provide more power, for a longer period of time.

To gain the most power out of your stroke, you want to make sure the paddle is as deep as possible. Ttry to avoid bending at the hips and use more downward pressure from your top hand. Also avoid gripping the paddle too much - As a test, you should be able to lift all four fingers off the handle.

3. Release

This part of the stroke can be likened to the release of a slingshot. Up until this point, we have loaded the slingshot (catch), pulled it back (power) and now we are looking to release all that energy. Just like a slingshot, it is still possible to mess it up at this stage.

The main movement here is a twist of the top hand, much like opening a bottle of wine. At the back end of the stroke, twist your top hand in a clockwise direction so that the paddle comes back to the start of your stroke, parallel to the rails of your board.

Paddle Technique Lessons

There are many aspects to the paddle stroke and many ways to work on each component. The above is just a basic outline. For more information or to book a one–on–one coaching session, contact Cameron on 0433 398 110 or Cameron@standupsurfshop.com.au

At the end of the day, it comes down to time on the water. It takes 10,000 strokes to create a habit and only 10 to break it.

MONICA DE ARAUJO

Birth: 2.5 kilos … made in Brazil in 1978

I was a "surprise" baby. My parents did not know we were twins … they found out 3 minutes after my identical twin was born that actually there was another baby in there. I wish I could remember their faces!

School: Well, I have never been a brilliant student , so once I asked my identical twin, Silvia to do a chemistry test for me and she got 2 out of 10!!! she was not brilliant either....

I was always good in sports and arts though.

Water sports: I came from a family where everybody windsurfs. My mum used to put myself and my sister on her board and go sailing with us. We have been windsurfing since then. It was the reason we moved to Australia.

Post school: As soon as I finished school, I went to Uni. I got my first degree in Administration in Hospitality, then my second in Advertising.

SUP: First time was with a good friend (also a windsurfer). He had a Starboard 9x30 board and we went to Cottesloe. It was end of 2009. I fell in love with supping straight away.

I've had so many favourite sessions. It is hard to pick only one, but for me, every surf with good mates is always special.

SUP competition: My first SUP comp was in 2013, Secret Harbour. It was the last State Round of the year and I won. I was over the moon!!!!!

Best results: Dual State Champion (2014/ 2015). I am still stoked about it!

SUSANNAH WILSON

Birth: 1988 - 10 pounds 10 ounces (good size baby)!

They called me a ‘white african’ at the hospital because I was born with a mop of black hair (like an afro).

The Early Years: North Cott Primary school then St Hilda’s …

I was a ‘goody goody’ until year 11 when I rebelled and skipped lots of school and hung out with boys (sorry mum and dad who spent lots of $ on school fees). But I still managed to sail through year 12…since then I’ve done a full 180 and now i’m a goody goody again ha!

I broke the St Hilda’s Yr 4 record for 100m sprint in bare feet - yeww (not sure if it’s been broken since then - I might check haha)! Cross country, high jump, swimming, rowing and water polo were my fave sports at school.

My dad is a bit of a psycho waterman and used to take me surfing down south on big days at Redgate and Huzzas on the shortboard when I was a juvie…I would spend most of my time going over the falls and guaranteed tears every time.

First kiss was at Pinkies - Rottnest circa 2002. Ewww! I used to be a bit of a Cott Boardrider groupie…cringe! Boys may have been one of the main reasons I pursued surfing haha.

Nickname: I've been called Zanny (since year 5) - we all got an adjective to learn and mine was ZANY and it formed from that work…quite fitting really.

Took a gap year after school - competed in Surf Boat racing and achieved 2nd in Australia for U23 girls. Sailed from Tokyo to Guam with my Dad on his yacht. Studied Landscape Architecture at UWA…worked for a couple of years but always wanted to pursue media so went to WAAPA and studied Broadcasting. Presented for a gardening TV show then decided to start my own business Zanny Media - video production.

Sounds cliche but my parents have always been very supportive of my sporting and work choices…

SUP: I used to think SUPing was for kooks but since I started I haven’t looked back - totally addicted to SUP surfing AND flat water.

I first met Galvo at the Stand Up Surf Shop - first impression / words that come to mind are: passionate / hyper / intense / hardcore / knowledgable / saltydog

Best start to the day is paddling my Starboard Sprint 23inch from Sandtracks to Swanny on a glassy day.

Worst SUP session was coming in from a surf at Exmouth (amazing surf) and thinking I could ride the shore break into shore - literally nose dived on dry sand in front of several onlookers and broke the nose of my board - kook of the day!!

SUP Comps: Came third in my first flat water sup race and 3rd in my first sup surfing comp…apparently my flatwater sprint style looked like I was doing the worm…I’ve since been working on my technique.

Best SUP comp was surfing the first 2015 state round at Rottnest - Strickland Bay. A girl in my final collided with me - I got winded and there was a hole in my board. I was pretty shaken up half way through the women’s final but it made me even more determined - and I won!

Food: I now follow a high fat, low carbohydrate diet (Paleo).

RICK JAKOVICH

Birth: 10/3/73

Nickname: Rictor

Background: Rick's dad was a shaper in the 1970's and taught Rick to shape his own boards at just 19 years of age. He's been playing around for years and now shapes his own brand of SUP boards - Jacko SUP.

Rick is a talented short board surfer and was the Under 19 Australian Scholatic Champion at 17 years.

He later moved into water cinematography. Having lived his entire life in and around the heavy swell of Margaret River, Rick has an immense talent to shoot in the water from places where others can only dream. He's shot for many movies, including Sabotaj, Montaj, Young Guns 1 and 2, Secret Machine and Year Zero. He's even gone Hollywood and filmed for feature movie Drift.

Getting into SUP: Rick's been known to ride pretty well anything that can surf waves. So it was probably no surprise that he wanted to give stand up paddle boarding a go. He's been hooked ever since. You can often see him and his equally talented brother Jake out at their local - Cowaramup Bay - in the Margaret River region.

Rick's also be known to take his SUP out at Cow Bombie and Womb. A crazy move for most mortals, but Rick has the talent and konwledge to push the boundaries. Doesn't mean he hasn't copped a beating at both when he's pushed it just that little bit too far though!!

Best SUP Results: 2014 and 2015 Australian SUP Champion (over 40's/old farts).

Learning how to Stand Up Paddle Board is not hard. And with a few tips, you'll be up and paddling in no time.

The Basics - How To Stand Up Paddle Board

‘Bend zee knees’

– your knees act like giant shock absorbers so don’t be afraid to use them. If at any time you feel like you are going to fall bend your knees and it will lower your centre of gravity and stabilise you. If you try to use your upper body you act like a pendulum and have to deal with a lot more weight going back and forth.

‘It’s all in the hips’ – Going from your knees to standing, you want to avoid bending at the hips. This moves all your weight forward and throws out your centre of gravity. Instead try doing a squat to come straight up. This will keep you balanced and allow you to bend at the knees if you feel unstable.

Foot Placement – When paddling along in flat water, you want to have your feet parallel with the rails so that you are facing forward. Your feet should be about hip width apart and either side of the handle. Too far forward and you dig the nose in and lift the fins out, too far back and you will lift the nose and turn more. Remember the grab handle is the middle of the board so standing either side of the grab handle will keep the board on a level plane.

Holding the paddle – when paddling on the right hand side, your left hand goes on top and your right hand is on the shaft. Your hands should be about shoulder width apart. When paddling on the left hand side the hands are swapped over.

Holding Your Paddle

There are two ways to easily help you identify which way the paddle should be held:

The Handle – the majority of paddles will be either a ‘T Grip’ or ‘Ergo Handle’. With either of these, you will notice that the handle is not the same on both sides. What you want is to have the rounded part sitting in your palm so that your fingers fold comfortably onto the other side.

The Blade – you want the blade facing forwards so that it is entering the water at a positive angle. One way to tell is to have the ‘v’ that runs down the spine of the blade (called the dihedral) facing backwards. If you want to know the technicals, this acts as a leading edge as the blade comes through the water and keeps the blade balanced. It’s easier to pull something ‘pointy’ through the water than a flat surface (which will make the blade cavitate).

Stand up paddle boarding is an ideal sport for cross training for athletes of any sport. Doing exercise on an unbalanced surface like the water trains new neural coordination between muscle groups, including the legs, back, feet, arms, neck and stomach. It uses the whole body to build new core muscle strength and balance. And these benefits are highly transferable to other sports by helping to provide the explosive strength that is often required. Traditional resistance training simply builds strength in a stable environment and the nature of sport is rarely that stable or controlled.

ARRANGING CROSS TRAINING SESSIONS

If your sporting club wants to try stand up paddle boarding as a form of cross training, contact Cameron on 0433 398 110 / cameron@standupsurfshop.com.au or use the enquiry form below. We can arrange suitable times and a location to fit in with your sporting group. We can do one offs or arrange regular sessions. We supply boards and can cater for up to 24 people.

RODGER 'THE DODGER' GOODWIN

If you want a laugh, then Rog is definitely the man to hang out with. A true blue Aussie, who loves hard work, football, beer and his water sports.

Birth: Born as a human in 1971, very cute and cuddly no idea how big but definitely not large, Mum was thankful of that. I was actually quite crook as a newborn as I couldn't keep any food down for a long time, I'm pretty good on the fang now though.

School: I spent the first 3 years of school in Perth at Booragoon Primary before we moved to Karratha and spent 2 years under the guidance and tutilage of the local Nunns at Saint Paul's Primary, where I learnt to swear and caning kids was the norm. We moved suburbs and spent the next 2 years at Pegs Creek Primary, which was pretty much brand new. We managed to destroy the joint pretty quickly. My favourite memories were when the whole school would play British bulldog on the oval before during and after school, we wore no shoes and the school was adjacent Cattteral park which was handy for smooching girls.

After that it was off to Karratha High where daily fights on the oval was the norm. 6 months in we moved back to Perth and I ended up at Applecross High, I didn't do much there.

My best achievement at school was playing King Neptune at the end of school play in grade 7.

Nicknames: The only person that has a nickname for me is my Dad, he calls me "Billy Bunta" I have no idea why.

Water Sports: We always had a boat so we spent a lot of time on the water as kids. My first experience with water sports, apart from fishing, was windsurfing. I saw my first sailboard in 1983, I had a go and was instantly hooked. The only down side was having to sell our motorbike to get a sailboard, which is hard to do when you are a bogan in Karratha.

Love: My first real girlfriend just happens to be my wife today. My best friend Maca introduced us at school. It went something like this. Maca: "hey Soph this is dickhead" Soph:"hello dickhead" Needless to say we didn't get together straight away.

Post school: Due to my lack of effort and ability at school I had no chance of any further tertiary experiences so it was off to work for me. Windsurfing was my passion so working in a surf/windsurf shop was my choice, until the shop burnt down. I was then inspired by a windsurf movie by Ray Swartz in which he showed how he pressed wool for a living as it gave him time to windsurf in the afternoon. I thought that sounded alright. It was bloody hard work - as I wasn't very smart it meant I had to lift heavy things.

SUP Boarding: My first SUP experience was at Rotto with Galvo. Scotty McKercher had a couple of boards for us to try, Like windsurfing, I was instantly hooked. We spent many hours on what would be considered very ordinary boards today surfing at Rotto. The fist time I met Galvo was at the 88 windsurfing nationals in Margaret River. It was at the opening party and there was this great big woolly bloke shotgunning cans of emu export in about 5 seconds flat. He must have smashed 10 in 20 minutes, I was very impressed.

Favourite SUP session: My favourite SUP session was at Pools in Fiji. After a very heavy night, we woke to find the swell pumping and absolute glass, surfed for 5 hours straight in perfection. There is no better fun than surfing awesome waves with your mates.

Competitions: My first comp was the 5km classic paddle - I struggled and was shattered at the end. If it wasn't for the clubby girls paddling in front of me, I wouldn't have made it.

Weight now: My current weight is 80 kg. I started out SUP at 84kg.

CAMERON MCKAY

Perth Stand Up Paddle School founder is one of the most humble and grounded people you'll meet. Despite his exceptional rise in the sport, he's had as many embarrassing moments as the rest of us when learning.

Birth: 1984. Mum was sure I was going to be a girl as I was so different to my brother during pregnancy. Now I am the hairiest out of everyone!

Education: Went to school on Sydney's Northern Beaches. I made the honors list for PDHPE in High School in my High School Certificate. Played School Boy Rugby at State Level.

Since then, finished a Business Management Degree at Newcastle University and a Graduate Diploma in Primary School Teaching at ECU.

Nicknames: I was always the short, fat kid with blonde hair, so much so that I got the nickname Barney Rubble.

Water Sports: Can't remember the first time as I have always been around water. Gave nippers a go as a grommet and lasted 1 week as we weren't allowed in the water and I realised I could have more fun being at the beach with Dad.

Post school: Went to Uni straight out of school and within a week of finishing my final exam I had left the country to go to Canada. Spent the next 3 years travelling working all sorts of jobs, including a surf instructor in Portugal for 3 months.

Parents reaction: My parents still don't think I have a proper job!

Worst SUP session: 2012 State Round at Yallingup, 4-6 ft and 15knt onshore, slipped off on my first wave and then managed to cop a 6 wave set on the head before my leg rope snapped and then had to swim in.

Competitions: First event was the Classic Paddle a 5km sprint. Showed up with not too many expectations as I had only been paddling for a month and it was more of a personal challenge. Finished that and then 2 months later decided to undertake the Dr.

A result I am proud of is being the only person to ever win the 111km Hawkesbury Challenge back-to-back. The first year I had no idea what to expect and was quite nervous and again it was a personal challenge to complete it, let alone win it. However I had been told you only have to paddle 60km and the rest is mental. Managed to finish that year 2:30 behind the race record. The following year I felt a lot more confident, relaxed and knew what to expect and managed to beat the race record by 3 hours!

Current Weight: 75kg depending how much chocolate I have been eating and how much training I have been doing.

MIKE 'GALVO' GALVIN

Stand Up Surf Shop owner Mike Galvin is just a local Cott guy who loves a beer, a coffee and time on the water. But we probably should also mention that there's no other dealer with more SUP boarding experience than Mike, in racing, surf and cruising.

He started the shop because he loves the sport (not to mention he wanted a more enjoyable job than digging soak wells). And if he can get you to feel the same stoke he feels every day that he's on the water, then he's a happy man.

Birth: 1967. A bit of an afterthought, 4 years after the last one.

School: Scotch College. No talents that had anything to do with a pen! First got involved with water sports via sailing.

Nicknames: Plugga - full forward, large set (Mike was a bit heavier back in his pre SUP boarding days). You can figure out the rest.

Work: Despite the private school education, Mike chose to start his working live with some honest hard work and a shovel.

The Opposite Sex: Mike is married to Bronny and has one daughter Lucy.

SUP: Began SUP boarding 2005. Runner up in the 2011 SUP State titles, won Grand Masters in State Titles, and regular top 10 finisher in the 'Doctor' (race from Rotto to Perth). Big memory is fighting it out for the 2011 State Titles at Denmark Beach, conditions being just on perfect, but not good enough. Well done to the winner.

Favourite SUP Session: Transits, Rottnest boat parked near by for refreshments and sausages.

Worst SUP Session: There is no such thing as a bad SUP session, but I did get caught in a fishing net at Leggian.

Current Weight: Once was known as Plugga, now I enjoy the sport of paddle boarding.

Nicki Jones

Born in ’73 and Gemini is my star sign. I have a split personality – just ask my husband!

Birth: Conceived in the back seat of my parents VW Combi van somewhere in France. Mum and Dad’s European adventures cut a little short so I could be born an Aussie here in Perth.

School: High School life started at John Curtin right here in Freo, I was part of the special Ballet program. I switched to Leeming Senior High School for year 9. It was a brand new school in our local area. Pretty ironic that we now live 5 minutes from JC and my two youngest attend and love it.

Good results achieved in school: I excelled at school, depending on which personality woke up that morning! I could be brilliant… or not. I especially loved dance and theatre arts, which I was lucky enough to still do at Leeming. My Dance teacher played a big part in shaping my later teenage years.

Funny memories about your time at school: I was either a goody two shoes at high school, wearing a tie when it wasn’t part of the uniform! Or I was wagging! I’m an all or nothing kinda girl. I was banned form going to my Year 10 dinner dance for doing the above mentioned activity.

Post school: I’ve been to ECU, Murdoch and Curtin but I still don’t have a degree. I get bored easily! I briefly entertained the idea of becoming a striper, so my parents were pretty happy I didn’t go ahead with that one.

First boyfriend: 14 – way too young to have a boyfriend! But I was in love! He was a Wesley boy and wore a tie. I was obsessed with ties! We got into way too much mischief!!

Nicknames: My Dad and brother call me Nickers – it sounds weird but it isn’t. My hubby calls me Smithy (my maiden name) or Hemy (the squirrel from the kids cartoon "Over the Hedge". If you haven’t seen it - do it!)

Water sports: We went to Port beach lots when I was little. I just remember it being sandy and hot! I did however learn to sail with my Grandpa. He was a very keen sailor and I spent a lot of my summer holidays with him at my Grandparents house in Applecross and at the South Perth Yacht Club. I wished I had spent more time with him as I got older. He could have taught me so much more. I got more involved with the ocean when my own kids were old enough to go to nippers. I became an age group manager and started to want to be on the water more and more.

SUP: First time supping was at Gnarabup in Margs about 6 years ago! Literally thrown in the deep end. Had no idea what I was doing. But bought a board straight away and have been SUPing ever since.

How you met Mike Galvin: Think I met Galvo at Rotto a few years back. I have a few stories but he’s my boss so I will keep them to myself!

Favourite SUP Session: On a recent trip to Bali we stayed in Sanur. We didn’t take our own boards and were pretty stoked to get to the Rip Curl Surf School to see a few SMIK’s available to hire. I grabbed a Short Mac and the surf was good. Being out on the water sharing the waves with my hubby, daughter and brother was awesome!

Worst SUP Session: Pretty much every time in the surf results in some kind of kook move for me! The cockroach is my specialty. I am much more comfortable on flat water!

First time competing in SUP: My first race was a small bop/tech race in Rockingham. I was on a 10’ Coreban! I saw these guys (Marcus and Cam- but I didn’t know them at the time) rock up on 12’6 race boards and I was like “I want one of those”! I loved it. The thing about SUP is the people and the community. I walked away knowing that it was going to be something I wanted to really get into. I bought a 12’6 Fanatic (still have it!) and started training.

Best SUP comp result: Definitely my win a few years back at the Starboard Black Blade. Yes…I beat Belinda! Hasn’t happened again… I also competed in the 2015 KeNalu Australian Flat Water SUPFEST at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith. Racing with the amazing Penelope Strickland! The women I met that weekend, Terene Black and Jean Ringrose and Jacgui Hockaday have been such an inspiration for me. I made some wonderful friends from all over Australia. I was pretty happy to come away with a 2nd place in the 200m over 40 women.

SUP Yoga

SUP Yoga classes have started!

Doing yoga on a SUP board requires great concentration and the 'instability' of the water surface means you really strengthen your core and improve your balance - much more so than doing yoga on land. Yoga on water does not excuse any mistakes and needs your full concentration and mindfulness.

In addition, it's much nicer doing yoga on the water, outsider rather than in a room. A great energy. And being gently rocked into “savasana” by the small waves is a beautiful way to finish. Water can really lead to inner peace.

The classes run for one hour and are held on the Swan River at Freshwater Bay. Cost is $35 per 90 minute session including board hire ($30 if you bring your own board). And our instructor is both a qualitifed yoga instructor and SUP coach.

If you want to register your interest, email cameron@standupsurfshop.com.au or call him on 0433 398 110.

Perth Stand Up Paddle School provides stand up paddle (SUP) board lessons for schools and kids. As Stand Up Paddle boarding is a relatively easy sport to learn kids as young as 5 can learn to SUP and it's a great sport to give them confidence and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

We only use qualified instructors that have achieved the following:

ISA Level 1 SUP Instructor

Surf Rescue accreditation

Working with children check.

Most of our instructors have children themselves and Perth Stand Up Paddle School owner, Cameron McKay, also has a Graduate Diploma in Education. This makes him the most suitably qualified person in WA to teach kids how to SUP.

Unlike learning to surf where you have to travel to the beach and is very much weather dependant, we'll find a location and time that's suitable for your school and provides easy learning conditions. This is done utilizing one of Perth's most famous landmarks, The Swan River. We can cater for up to 24 children at any one time. Perth Stand Up Paddle School provides the SUP boards and paddles.

Perth Stand Up Paddle School is the only paddle school in WA affiliated with Surfing WA. Through this, we are recognised as an official paddle school and quality community initiative and are therefore supported by the Australian Sports Commission. By way of affiliation with Surfing WA our public liability and professional indemnity insurance is provided by Surfing Australia who operates hundreds of surf/sup schools across the country meaning our coverage is proven and specific to our needs. As a business recognized by the Australian Government we are also proud to promote the Sun Smart message.

Kids and parents are also welcome to join our general weekend lessons. It's a great sport that both you and your child can enjoy together.

SPECIAL NEEDS

We find that stand up paddle boarding can be a great activity for special needs kids. Because it's so easy, it's a sport that many kids can learn and enjoy, which helps to build confidence. Lucy (who is has dyspraxia) has been SUP boarding since she was 5 years old and absolutely loves it. It's something she and her parents all enjoy together.

We currently run six week courses of 'easy' stand up paddle boarding fitness classes, designed more for the beginner paddler to improve paddle boarding skills.

In these classes, we learn a new skill each week, practice it and also enjoy a good work out. It's the perfect class to progress to after the beginner's classes or it also suits those who want to increase their fitness but haven't had much paddle boarding experience. In the early weeks, we focus on getting the techniques right, and in the latter weeks, we really build up the cardio workout.

FITNESS CLASS TIMES

Tues/Wed/Thurs: 5.30-6.30pm

Our next six week course starts on 6 January, 2015.

Just choose the time and day that suits you and once a week for 6 weeks, learn all the basics of SUP paddling technique. All while geting a great full body workout and being outdoors with other like minded people.

The cost of the six week course is $99. SUP Boards are provided but you're welcome to use your own board if you have one.
