You'll be amazed at how young kids stand up paddle by themselves. It's not uncomman to see a five year old master the art and be able to turn the board and paddle by themselves.

It gives them great confidence, it’s healthy and it’s something that you can do together and both enjoy.

Kids are not fussy at all. And because they are light and generally think they’re invincible, they can pretty well jump on any SUP board and have a good time. Great options for kids boards include:

  • Any of the Allrounders for boards that both you and your kids can use. The allrounders tend to be bigger, stable and easy to use so they’re easy to paddle with your kids on the board as well.
  • Any of the surf SUP boards – a great excuse to buy yourself a SUP board that carves in the waves and doubles as a good size board for your child.

We also have a great Ocean and Earth kids adjustable paddle. It's durable and well priced. The beauty of an adjustable is that it allows the paddle to grow with your child.
