Stand Up Paddle boarding is a great sport for special needs kids and adults. It's fun, easy and gives participants great confidence in themselves.
Lucy, who has dyspraxia, is fully proficient at stand up paddle boarding. She's been doing it since she was about six years old and often paddles with mum and dad. We find it's a great sport for kids with dyspraxia, autism, ADHD and many other special needs. For children with severe special needs, it can even be fun just to sit on the board and be paddled around. Kids (and adults!) can also start by kneeling if they are unable to stand or worried about falling in.
