The Starboard HQ is a sustainable office. Their roof is covered in solar panels and most weeks, they create up to 65% of the energy they need. The employees are given a fully vegetarian lunch, as well as bicycles for internal use.
They’re also looking at green technology to replace the inner foam core of their boards with natural materials.

The boards have sustainably sourced Australian Pine for impact resistance on the deck. It has the usual EPS core and the board is also wrapped in multiple fibreglass layers.

The boards offer stronger, scratch resistant rails. The introduction of carbon innegra bands along the rails provide extra rigidity at a reduced weight. The introduction of innegra acts as an absorption agent, which reduces the fragility of carbon.
The deck is Australian Pine and biaxial reinforced glass that give it extra protection against impacts.
